Just becomes supporter of the Newham Ability Camp

21 February 2020

Just announced today that it will be an on-going supporter of the Newham Ability Camp, which aims to bring families closer together, and build long-lasting friendships and enduring smiles through sports.

Just will make donations for the next two years, to support over 30 young adults with disabilities and their loved ones, giving them the chance to play and enjoy sports.

Sport has proven to be crucial for people with disabilities, to aid them both emotionally and psychologically. It not only helps them build self-confidence it also gives them a sense of independence and purpose. Elizabeth Harris, the Secretary of Newham Ability stated "We at the club are beyond grateful to be supported by Just. As the only pan disability multi sports club in Newham we have young people and young adults with disabilities who really rely upon this safe, social environment to be active. It was wonderful to see the reaction from the club members when Jamie came down to meet them at our weekly football session and even better that he got involved with the kick about at the end of the session! We can't thank him enough, and really look forward to building the relationship over the coming years."

Our Founder and Chairman, Jamie Waller, recently attended the centre to play football with the young people benefiting from the service and commented: “Coming from a neighbourhood similar to this one, I know how crucial these centres are, for bringing people closer together whilst building their self-esteem. It’s a great pleasure to meet these young people and know that Just is able to help. I can’t wait to see their new football kits and bring the rest of the Just team to play a match in the future”.
